| Classic Country Sounds.com Stubbornly Continuing To Produce and Promote Country Music with a Classic Sound Alan Jackson and George Strait had it right a few years ago when they recorded “Murder on Music Row.” For the almighty dollar, record and radio executives decided to rid America of an art form that had blessed generations of country music fans before them. With a few notable exceptions, songs of the heart were replaced with meaningless dribble, most without a true country structure or even rhyme. Much of it is simply pop music with a steel guitar or fiddle. When pitching some of my new songs in Nashville a few years ago, a publishing executive told me “Poetic country music is dead.” I believe that statement is only true if we allow it to be. That’s why we formed Classic Country Sounds. A company designed to produce and promote new but traditional sounding country songs that will otherwise never be heard. The reason country music and radio executives turned away from traditional sounds was simple demographics. Young adults are more pleasing to advertisers and buy more recordings at higher prices. The industry became like Hollywood, where youth and beauty are predominate factors in who makes it and who does not. Help Save Traditional Sounding Country Music You can be a part of the restoration of true country music in two ways. First, those of us who love the music must buy the product. Writers won’t write, singers won’t sing and record companies won’t produce a product that sits on store shelves. Start right here on this website. Check out our artists and their songs by clicking on the appropriate tab and listen to a sample cut. If you like the songs, purchase the CDs. We, however, encourage you to send your copyrighted material to us for consideration. Selected material will be reproduced and featured on this website.
